The kids sang so wonderfully and showed their proud parents and grandparents some of what they've learned! Each 1st year class got to play a song on the bells, and 2nd year class, a couple on the keyboards. They practiced so hard over the couple of weeks leading up to it and it really showed! They all should be feeling a sense of pride but I'm sure they also feel quite loved. They were able to look out at the audience and see their family's support and smiles. I had a great time at the recital with these kids and their families! What a great way to end a fun and wonderful year!!

The 3rd year recital is one of the top highlights of my year every year. It was such a pleasure to sit in the audience with the families of our fine young musicians and enjoy their original and unique compositions. This year we had the pleasure of hearing Vampire Waltz, Building Legos, Magic Piano, Fairies, and Magic Soccer Ball. We started the recital with a true ensemble piece that they did such a great job performing. An adaptation from Dvoraks' New World Symphony. They played the rhythms just right, moved their hands to just the right positions, some sang along as we played, but most tricky of all, they stayed together! Proud teacher moment! I can only take a fraction of the credit really. Credit goes to the amazing LPM program and @shellesolfeg, the kids' hard work, and mostly the amazing parents!! Then we headed into their beautiful compositions and the pride and joy in their faces was priceless. We ended the recital with a fun performance of our cool jazzy song, Find the Root. I loved every minute of it!! Love you guys and I'm already missing you bunches!
