Let’s Play Music is a music theory course that emphasizes total musicianship through piano playing, singing, classical music, note reading, and ear training…and it’s accomplished through play!

CLASS INFORMATION

Location: Lindsay & Adobe or Crismon & Broadway
Classes Held at Lindsay & Adobe: Wednesdays-
3:15pm OR 5:15pm
Classes held at Crismon & Broadway: Thursdays- 10:00am, 12:30pm, or 1:25pm
Fridays- 3:20pm
Class Duration: 45 minutes long
Class Size: 5 to 8 children
Age of Child: 4, 5, or 6 years old
Tuition: $360 for the year or eight $45 monthly installments.
Materials Fee: $83 for entire year’s materials. This includes set of Tone Bells, Home Study Notebook, Tote bag, Flashcards and two CDs.

ABOUT THE TEACHER

Kendra has a BA in Early Childhood Education Studies and AA in music. She has been teaching piano lessons 6 years and Let's Play Music for 5 years. She loves teaching children and the Let's Play Music program!

Registration for Red Balloons 2010 has begun!

Let's Play Music is a three-year foundational music theory course for children ages 4-6. It emphasizes singing, classical music, note reading, ear training, and piano playing. The active and playful classes teach intermediate skills and concepts that will ensure that your little musician soars through future music lessons!

Where a red balloon floats up the musical staff, bug's feet scamper about teaching how to read rhythms, and classical music becomes a puppet show!

Mini Red Balloons

An exciting two week course emphasizing melody and staff reading for children ages 4-6. In ten 60-minute interactive, playful lessons, we study and practice the major scale, Solfeggio syllables (DO, RE, MI) and hand signs, pitch matching, lines and spaces on the staff, playing patterns from the staff on melody tone bells, and more. Materials include Tone Bell Set and Home Study CD.

Mini Blue Bugs

An exciting 1 week course emphasizing rhythm for children ages 4-6. In five 60-minute interactive, playful lessons, we study and practice keeping a steady beat, subdividing the beat, rhythmic notation, reading and performing rhythms and more. Materials include Rhythm Sticks, Rhythm Flashcards and Home Study CD.
